Coalition to Support Caregivers

-Listening sessions to hear directly from the community and the caregivers about their  needs for support and access to resources

-Collaborating with the community to            understand their definition of caregiver and its meaning to those who are in active caregiver roles in Ward 7 and Ward 8

-Providing community members access to    understand their Caregiver Intensity Score and the things driving and buffering their     caregiver experience

-Creating opportunities for dialog within the participating faith communities to encourage and facilitate peer support and interaction with Faith Leaders

-Supporting local and federal advocacy efforts by leveraging the findings from our efforts

MEN'S GROUP

​Men's groups seek to provide a safe atmosphere where men can express themselves, support one another, diagnosing problems and also determining prescriptions of wellness for men.

         Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center

• Identifying and assessing the cancer burden and risk factors within our catchment area (the D.C. metro area and Bergen County area pictured).
• Fostering research that addresses the cancer burden in our catchment area with special emphasis on community-based research on vulnerable and underserved populations.
• Enhancing and strengthening community-based partnerships and programs to deliver evidence-based cancer education and resources with impact within and beyond the area we serve.
